Yes, just received news that my partner's Temporary Visa has been approved !
Yeah ! We are now really on the way to start our new home here.

It's been an anxious year, planning the move and doing all the paperwork and hoping that all goes well. Now, we just need to continue with the paperwork for another 2 years and his Permanent Visa should be given without problems.
At least now he is a recognized resident here and can work and have some benefits.

I've have plans to move to Australia too with my bf.. he'd studied and worked in Australia before so we dont expect him to have any problems returning there. His family is all supporting him to move to Australia. The problem is me now. I have no degree. The only thing I can fall back on is that I have an option of international-intracompany transfer, but that process takes a year or 2 at the very least.. Not sure if I have such time..
In the next 2 years, the company promised a lot of expansion and changes within the organisation structure, and where I go, really depends on myself..
Should I seriously consider Australia?
I honestly can't say a yes or no.
Moving is a highly personal event. All I can say is that the good things about Australia appealed to me.
The bad, is something that I would say is highly unlikely to happen to me or on me.
In terms of employment, benefits, medical, etc, I would say Australia is better.
If you haven't come here before, it will be hard for you to say whether you like it or not..
Come over for holidays at least, before you make a decision.
